Reviews for [RL83] White Blush "White Blush"
- Feast of Beast
Loving this dark dreamy cassette from White Blush. It’s got a little bit of an early Beach House feel in the minimal arrangements, especially on Mysterieux, which is totally a good thing. I’m on my second consecutive listen through, and I’m already head over heels. Can’t go wrong with a stellar sounding $6 cassette, including shipping.
- When The Sun Hits
Available from Rok Lok Records & limited to a gorgeous edition of 100 pro-dubbed, white clam shell cassettes packaged in white/clear norelco cases with full color card stock covers. White Blush is Carol Rhyu. Originally from Chicago, Carol moved to LA for film school and later dropped out, bought an MC-Roland 808 and joined a synth band. She scrapped together a handful of bedroom recordings, collaborated with producer friends, and released her self-titled debut EP earlier this year. Highly recommended for those who dig shoegaze tinged synth/electro pop – White Blush is on WTSH’s list of Top EPs of 2013.
